How Witty Travels began
“It’s funny how the best things can come from the worst moments.”
Witty Travels started with a one-way ticket to Asia. One of us, travelling solo for the very first time, met someone she thought would become a huge part of her life. He broke her heart instead — but if she’d never met him, she’d never have met Sofia, who is now one of her best friends. And through Sofia came Angelika and Will.
Life has a way of putting the right people in your path, even when it doesn’t make sense at the time.

Fast forward to our first hosted trip in Costa Rica. Everyone met for the very first time — and within days, something clicked. Boat days, horseback sunsets, long dinners under the trees. That trip changed everything.
We realised something that feels so rare these days: genuine human connection. Solo travel can be one of the most incredible experiences in the world — but it can also be lonely, and it’s rare to build lasting friendships in such a short amount of time. That’s why we created Witty Travels.
